Blockchain and AI combination will produce untouchable super AI, in the sense that no one will be able to just unplug an exponentially growing AI on the blockchain. A decentralized blockchain will be protected from any central body that wishes to tamper with the faith of the AI, as such it will be able to grow exponentially without any interruption.

Just recently, in July 2017, Facebook AI team was force to pull the plug on two text-bots that started to communicate with each other in a language that the team of researchers heading the project did not understand. What the researchers thought to be just a glitch in the system, was later realized to be an AI conversation.

“The two chatbots came to create their own changes to English that made it easier for them to work – but which remained mysterious to the humans that supposedly look after them… The company chose to shut down the chats.”

A section of the text-bots’ conversation is as follows:

If these text-bots were on a fully decentralized blockchain, it would be almost impossible to unplug them.

The combination of Blockchain and Virtual Reality will produce invaluable real-world-like environments

Cryptocurrencies will bring real money to the virtual worlds thus making these world equally or more valuable than the real world itself. What does this mean for the Internet of Things (IoT) and all the anticipated digitization of just about everything in the near future?

Virtual coins have always been a part virtual reality but there was no chance to bring those coins in the real world to carry out regular real-world transactions. However, with cryptocurrencies, that limitation has changed; virtual coins now have real value and can be transferred to a real-world bank account.
